International Adoption
Home Study Requirements

At least one parent must be a United States citizen
-
If married, the adoptive parents must have been married
for at least one year
-
Single applicants are accepted (varies by country)
-
Prospective parents must agree to obtain the required
post placement supervision, with the home study agency, at their own
cost, after placement of a child (# of required visits determined by
country)

Prospective parents must submit copies of the following
paperwork:

Financial Statement
-
Most recent tax return
-
Medical reports on ALL persons in the home

Marriage Certificate
-
Divorce Decrees (if applicable)

Birth Certificates on ALL persons in the home
-
Provide names of 6 references (employer,
pastor, personal, relative)

Autobiographies
-
Pictures of family
-
Driver's license
-
Social Security cards
-
Passports
-
Statement of infertility
-
ALL adult household members (18 years or older)
must be cleared of any criminal history
-
Applicants for international adoptions must also meet
the required guidelines of the placement agencies or foreign countries
from whom they desire to adopt
International Adoption Fee Schedule
International Adoptions: The agency currently
facilitates inter-country adoptions from a number of countries by
completing home studies, assisting with contacts with other international
adoption agencies, completing court reports, and supervision of
placements.
The cost for each service is:

Home Study Fee ................. $800.00

Inter-Country Fee ............... $250.00

Post Placement Services ..... Up to 3 visits:
$300.00; More than 3 visits: $125.00 per visit
